Is Today the Day?
An Ashkenazi Jew, a high school student in North Carolina, a woman who was abused at church and is gathering the courage to pick up her Bible again, a father looking to spend quality time with his 16-year-old son, a lover of Scripture and story in Colorado, a man in Florida looking to share the good news with his ultimate frisbee team, a radio DJ in Sydney, Australia—this is a small handful of the many, many people who've reached out to tell me about the impact Holy Ghost Stories is having on their faith journey.
There are so many others. In fact, over 400 times every day someone somewhere in the world presses play on an episode of Holy Ghost Stories.
It's been an absolute thrill to see what God has done with the first three seasons of HGS, and I cannot wait to see what He does with Season 4.
So here's what I want you to know: today's Giving Tuesday, and I've prayerfully set a goal of raising $12,000 to complete the funding of this season.
That's right: Complete.
By way of God's amazing provision, the audacious endeavor of Holy Ghost Stories Season 4 has been funded to the tune of $176,883.47.
I could cry.
Full funding, which will cover all aspects of production—research, writing, narration, editing, an original musical score for every episode, professional mastering, web hosting, Hazefire Studios's accounting, etc, etc—will require $210,000. By the grace of God, we're 84% of the way there. AND, I'm working with a foundation that's enthusiastically considering a grant of $21,000 to be awarded in April.
Which means…we're only $12,000 away. ...Don't you think we should button it up? :)
If you listen to Holy Ghost Stories, this is your chance to chip in. To move from consuming to co-creating. To support the people working hard to bring you into moments of encounter with Yahweh Himself.
He's in this podcast—that's been evident to me from the beginning. It's what He wants me doing with my life right now. And maybe—maybe it's what He wants you doing with some of your resource today.
Let's tell the world the story of the Exodus, shall we?
